I've played the base game about a dozen times, and this expansion fixes my one gripe: the new Nightflower Island cards give the spirits deck way more variety. The villagers and musicians finally feel like they have real roles instead of just filler. Setup takes maybe five extra minutes, worth it.

Claire ★★★★★

Didn't expect the Doomlings to be this fun to play against — the masked ones add a nice bit of chaos to the table. Expansion slots right into the base game without any extra setup fuss.

The village and spirit cards have such varied personalities that every round feels like a fresh story, and the masked Doomlings add just the right amount of chaos. I’ve already played three sessions with my group and we keep discovering new combos. The quality of the card stock feels sturdy enough f
