Quick answer
The Mokoko Village Bolster Expansion is a 40-card add-on that introduces 37 new Traits, 2 new Ages, and 1 new Catastrophe to your Doomlings game, giving you more variety and replayability without changing the core rules.
What makes the Mokoko Village expansion different from other Doomlings expansions?
Unlike some expansions that focus on a specific mechanic or new player roles, Mokoko Village adds a broad mix of Traits, Ages, and a Catastrophe. This means it freshens up nearly every phase of the game rather than tweaking one part. The theme draws from a magical forest village, which gives the cards a distinct feel compared to expansions like Shadow Puppets.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need the Doomlings base game to use this expansion?
- Yes, the Mokoko Village Bolster Expansion is an add-on and requires the Doomlings base game (any edition) to play. It is not a standalone game.
- How do I integrate the expansion cards into the base game?
- Shuffle the new Traits into the existing Trait deck, the new Ages into the Age deck, and the new Catastrophe into the Catastrophe deck. The game rules remain unchanged. You can mix all cards together or keep them separate for a themed session.
- Is this expansion compatible with other Doomlings expansions?
- Yes, you can combine the Mokoko Village expansion with other bolsters or Gold Packs. Since all expansions use the same card types, they mix freely. If you own multiple expansions, you can shuffle them all together for maximum variety.
